The day-to-day work of teaching may make it difficult to to pause and reflect, but it is important to dedicate time to celebrating the work that students have done. “Catch students being good and create opportunities for them to do the right thing.  Positive experiences beget positive experiences and those moments make kids feel valued and valuable” (Lahey 2014).
